Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Chris Carter has a big chance to secure the roster spot he so craves, batting third ahead of big leaguers like Jeff Franoeur, Frank Catalanotto, and Fernando Tatis.Another strong game from Russ Adams or Ruben Tejada could also be significant. REally, just about everybody scheduled to go today has something to paly for.New York=#BF0000]WashingtonPagan, CFTejada, SSCarter, 1BFrancoeur, RFCatalanotto, LFTatis, 3BAdams, 2BBlanco, CPelfrey, PCristian Guzman, SSAdam Kennedy, 2BRyan Zimmerman, 3BAdam Dunn, 1BJosh Willingham, LFJustin Maxwell, CFMike Morse, RFWil Nieves, CJason Marquis. Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Carter got a hit in the first, but was left hangin'. Zimmerman hit a solo shot in the bottom half.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Willinghan added a homer in the second.Down 2-0, the Mets grab one back in the third, with Pagan scoring Blanco (who had dubbled) with one o' them productive outs.Carter now 2-2 and hitting .467.

Willingham's 2nd was pop-up hit straight into jet stream. that said, he does have to pitch in CBP and Yankee Stadium, so he should know how to handle pop-up homers.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 SNY generally only does the home games.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 4 HRs now-- Zimmerman gets his matching set, and mercifully ends Pelfrey's day:4 2/3 IP7 H6 R (5 earned)1 BB3 KJjurlerin' Jjank on in relief. 1 1/3 scoreless so far, 1 BB, 1 H, no K.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 They can't be getting much in ad revenue for these games, so if it winds up costing them more to televise them than they could possibly hope to make back (particularly for mid-week/day/road games) I don't think their reluctance to show each game is baffling at all.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Carter with a double--his 3d hit of the game.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Yes, it is a spring game but Mike Pelfrey is reminding me of Aaron Heilman on my personal frustration meter.
