Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 My parents live in Jupiter. That's a nice ballpark -- and an easy trip for the Mets, about 40 minutes from PSL, 30 minutes when my dad is driving.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Really? It's worth waiting a few days for a blood test result in order to have one of the best offensive players in the club's history?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 It's so worth the aggravation.[/quote:3om5umpl]Not if this is another long term issue...
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 All ballplayers are human and vulerable to human frailties. Tejada also.We need to get past instant gratification being the only acceptable outcome. It's unsustainable and it makes us fat and arrogant and self-destructive and miserable, no matter our wealth. You negotiate with the fates as maturely and rationally as possible. Emotional reactions like "It's not worth the aggravation" get you more aggravation and less success.Or as a wiser person said, the path of least resistance leads to the garbage heap of despair. That's my birthday homily.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 In Jupiter, the Mets score three runs with two out in the first against Brad Penny. The big blow was an RBI double by Tatis. In St. Lucie, Jon Niese has struck out three through 1 1/3.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 Mets are "doing it for Jose"...

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 In the battle for number five, nieve has the mostly-A-team Cardinals and has two scoreless innings, with two hits, one a double, a walk, and two whiffs. Niese went 2 2/3 against Florida's A, yielding three hits, a two walks, and an earned run, while fanning five. The run scored after he was relieved by Jennry Mejia, as Darry Strawberry drooled.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I wonder if they can find a guy named "Niete" who can fit alphabetically between the two guys.
