Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Potential Cuban acquisition: http://nybaseballdigest.com/?p=21224&cpage=1Not afraid to throw inside to Ruben Rivera. That's the kind of battler we're looking for.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 I had heard that he has been working out at one of the Mets baseball academies (Dominican Republic?). Other teams are still interested in him, but this might indicate the Mets are the frontrunners. EDIT: Yep. Here we go. He's even wearing Mets "colors".http://metsfever.blogspot.com/2010/02/maya-training-photo-uni-looks-familiar.htmlLater
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Seen those pics on a few Metly blogs in the last week, in conjunction with rumors that he's drifting away from signing with the Sox. I'd like to see him in camp, myself.Only problem is, those pictures were posted to Flicker in August and December. There doesn't seem to be anything new or current-- and therefore, nothing newly indicative-- about his working out at the complex.
Guest attgig Guests Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 i believe maya is still waiting on a visa to 'work' in the US. hence, he cannot sign with anyone...
