Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 What really eats at me were the posts the very night of the clincher anticipating the next season when they can start work on number 28. Hey, you know, the point to winning isn't just winning. It's savoring. It's taking some time while you're on top to act like a noble fucking champion. It's being gracious to the people who supported you and the people who didn't, knowing that nobody can knock you off your perch, so there's no harm in being a a human being. It's enjoying your little plaything.I mean, damn, to extend Rusty's metaphor: to finish opening your Christmas presents and already be planning for your haul next year, it's just so horrifically detached and soul-dead.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Girardi is apparently changing his uni # to 28 .....talk about not savoring it....what wankers they are.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I'm downtown and having to deal with the 'parade'Its bad enough that at 8:45 am I had to walk 2-3 blocks just to cross the street, but 'they' were throwing rolls of toilet paper at each other from across the street.Gotta remember to avoid the puke puddles on my way home tonight.
