bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I put on the Astros radiocast and the announcers said that their team had "a let down" after playing the Cardinals for 3 games and then beating Santana. "Let down" is a poor excuse
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Who the hell are these guys with all the hard hit balls?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 To be fair, Julia Stiles could get fat on Houston's pitching beyond Oswalt, Rodriguez and Hawkins. That said, just because it's junk food doesn't mean it's not sassifying.Finish it, Seanny.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Back-to-back games with big runs! Maybe Jerry should stick with this lineup for a little while.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Who are those guys wearing Mets uniforms and what did they do with our players?
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 When (I'm sliding right over the "if") Beltran returns, should Pagan continue to play center field? He certainly belongs in the lineup - he gets on base, has leadoff speed, and certainly plays good defense. Moving Carlos to a corner spot wouldn't put as much pressure on his legs.Whaddaya' think?Later
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 We're getting this season turned right round.

If Beltran can run at all, I'll take him over Pagan 393 times out of 393.Now, if Martinez-- one notable cleat-catching aside-- looks as good as he did earlier in fill-in work when he comes back, maybe he starts splitting time with CB in center as CB approaches contract's end.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 * If/when Beltran comes back he's playing CF.* I do think Pagan is fine (if not better) as a fill-in CF and I'd like to see us hang onto him as outfielder #4 for next year. Now he just has to work on staying on the field* Martinez looked better defensively than I expected based on prospect reports that universally had him tagged strictly as a corner guy.
