And he puts one to the track but no further.

Nyjer Morgan still engaging in piracy.

Anyone else's cablevision SNY HD feed not working properly? I've got no sound at all and only on SNY.

They get some measure of revenge by picking Nyjer off.

Omar in the booth and Cohen throws him a softball , jeez...

"Hey Omar , we know it can be tough to be a player in NY , what about being a general manager?"

Omar cites Santos as a positive. I see him as a negative because his little hot streak essentially forced a better player out of town and now he's showing his true colors. Ashie still thinks he's the MVP.

Like we all don't sound desperate.

Ramon Castro, since trade36.133.278.333.611
Omir Santos, since trade87.244.287.329.617

I know Minaya's back is against the wall, but there's nothing here to get upset over.

Castro has a long enough track record to tell me that thats just a short-term abberartion, its only 36 PAs! Santos has no track record and I say this is who he is. my original plan (sending him down and thus holding on to all 3 catchers in the organization) was still far wiser than the "omar plan" though.

And he'd be praised for his such wisdom if he ended up with a struggling Castro and recalled Santos after a month of ineptitude?

Be fair here.

Bets down. Last chance.

Another night without any extra base hits.

Doesn't matter how many Ollie walks if we can't get runs off this horrible team.

Well, I'm glad I passed on attending that one.

No more John Lannan starts for me.

First Nats win for Jim Riggleman.

now he's a got a struggling Santos and no Castro at all. If he'd had a struggling Castro he'd still have had Santos in AAA if that looked like a better option today. He had a good chance to keep the team's options open with very little downside (did anyone expect Santos to be much better than Castro going forward if at all?)

It's not like Castro went for free.

This is just too silly. You're bemoaning the loss of a guy who has hit .133 since being traded.

4-0. With the way they're swinging, it may as well be 14-0.

This was the conversation tonight.

Fman: "Boy the Mets are really laying down out there."
Fboy: "I don't see them laying down, they're all standing around."
Fman: "Yeah, good point buddy."

Even if Castro was still around we'd still be forced to watch Mets "hitters" like Muffy, Cora, Reed, etc. pound balls into the dirt night after night. Not to mention the pitching.

Oy gevalt.
