Perhaps to reverse the curse, you should hang it on a tree outdoors before Christmas, when it's not cold enough for snow. Then Johan could stand there and let the weather wash over him like a soft rain.

I hear that does wonders for a pitcher.

2. I'm buying that ornament![/quote:23ohpvv4]

Kobe Bryant didn't either. But guess what happened to him the year he was an ornament? Yup, the rape accusation.

And don't get me wrong, I'm buying it, too. And if folks in the Pool have trouble finding one out there in the Homeland, let me know and I'll try to grab one for you.

I think the reverse curse is to sign a jewish ballplayer.

That just might work. Let's see if Boston is ready to give up Youkilis.

Works for me. They can have every player that's played 1B for the Mets this year. Delgado, Evans, Tatis, Murphy, actually, I'd give them Reed but I'm not sure I want to give them Cora.

I missing anybody?

So you'd back out of this WATP Youklis deal if they insisted on Cora?

Good to know...

I think that's the whole lot. I had no idea Cora played first - good memory.

While we're at it we could probably use Ryan Braun and Ian Kinsler as well.

For Youkilis I'd turn into the old Male Shop in Brooklyn - all those players, a sport jacket, a topcoat, three ties, two pairs of socks, six handkerchiefs and a transistor radio.

Especially since he'd give Davey Boy a nice break at third every couple of weeks.
