Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Best kickoff song ever.Trading Terry Chimes and Mick Jones for Pete Howard, Nick Sheppard and Vince White --- now that was a bad trade.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Berroa's ROY season 6 years ago was his only decent one.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Well that top 6 looks like an improvement as compared to recent orders.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 REDS:Taveras, cfBruce, rfVotto, 1bPhillips, 2bHernandez, cEncarnacion, 3bGomes, lfHairston, ssCueto, rhpThunderstorms coming to the area. Could conceivably affect first pitch so as not to waste Johan.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Let's hope that Evans can stay focused at Buffalo and not play like he did when he was there earlier this season. He's in the lineup today, as is Berroa. Neise on the mound.http://buffalo.bisons.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?t=g_box&gid=2009_07_11_bufaaa_swbaaa_1&did=t422&sid=t422

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Francouer is spitting tobacco juice in the outfield. What a lovely first impression....
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 ]Francouer is spitting tobacco juice in the outfield. What a lovely first impression....You can take the boy out of Georgia, but...
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Pagan makes a very nice catch in deep center to strand two Reds and end the top of the first. He starts off the bottom of the inning with a single.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Jeff F with a nice reception, I guess the fans there don't read the internet.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Well I certainly take that. Welcome to the Mets, Jeff.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Francoeur gets his Met career off to a nice start with a bloop single to drive in 2 runs!!
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Tobacco Boy gets two RBIs in his first Mets at-bat.It's a first step in getting me to learn to like him. Maybe.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 ="Nymr83"]Francoeur gets his Met career off to a nice start with a bloop single to drive in 2 runs!!Ya gotta love it. Santos drives in another.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 4-0 Mets after two innings.I feel emotionally unprepared to witness the Mets winning a game.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Way to go Frenchy! Nice way to win over the fans!
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Slow IGT, jeez people go out Saturday nights?Santana exits after seven scoreless. Nice to see him get some runs and notgive up any homers (although some long hard hit balls were reeled in).
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 EDC: Best kickoff song ever <<<The Clash have been good to us IGT wise, I think. That might be my favoriteClash song.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Well, if K-Rod closes this out, you get tomorrow's IGT, and I hope you bring the Clash with you and maybe the kharma will carry over.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Nice win ... let's take 2 of 3 for a freakin' change tomorrow!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Who taught Francoeur how to do the secret handshake?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 so much for gaining a game as Philly came from 7-3 down in the 9th to score 5 runs and win 8-7 against the pirates
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Had dinner aand beer at Virgil's. The beef brisket was wonderful, as was the beer. Walked down 7th Ave. and ducked into Stout NYC to watch the end of the Yankees beating. Convinced our waitress to put on the Met game. Turns out she too ws a Mets fan and she said she would get the game on TV that was easier for us to see. As she brought our next round of beers she pointed to a TV that had been off all night and told us the Mets game would be on in a moment. It started up just as Johan was making his first pitch of the game. The huge flat screen was just above our table. Now that's service. Of course, we ended up staying longer than we should have and drank more beer than originally intended, but we left happy with the Mets comfortably ahead 4-0. Figuring out the train system at Penn Station was a little confusing, but we made it back to our home base safely. Looking forward to tomorrow's game and seeing old friends and hopefully a few new ones. Let's go Mets!!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Just back from the game and an evening with the CPF's own Triple Dee, and a good time was had by all. Though we'd arrived too late to get a giveaway Mr Met lunchbox, 3D to hios credit spied and gathered in an abandoned one that I'll present to Lunchpail in the morning.edit -- I've witnessed both wins on this homestand. Someone give me a ticket to tomorrow's game.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 WTF...Go out for dinner and a movie with the Mrs. and the Mets actually win a game. From an offensive standpoint loks like nothing after the second. I'll have to review on mlb.com.

I actually went into the Mets shop after today's game to look for a Mr Met lunchbox of my own. I should have offered somebody 7 bucks for it!
