Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Frankie blows the save but vultures himself a win.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 That was a helluva game.Makes me feel a glimmer of optimism! And despite the blown save, I'm going to give Frankie Rodriguez some Schaefer. That was a gutty effort from him.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 If the Mets were smart, they'd get Redding off the roster tonight (minors, DFA, phantom injury) and call up a pitcher for the next few days. Frankie can't go tomorrow so they're short in the BP. When it's Redding's turn, send the guy down and recall Niese or Figueroa (who was rained out from starting tonight).
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 I'm far from being a Jon Heyman fan, but this tweet is a good one:SI_JonHeyman k-rod insisted on going back out for 10th. how's that for leadership, johnny franco? #mets
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Why is he calling out Franco on tweet tweet?
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Franco challenged the testicularity of the team on a radio interview.http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/baseball/mets/blog/2009/07/manuel_wright_not_fans_of_fran.html
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 ]When it's Redding's turn, send the guy down and recall Niese or Figueroa or Perez.but i agree with the general idea, gets a reliever with options (Kunz?) up here NOW because redding is done anyway so why let him waste a roster spot. is there a lefty they can bring up? the phillies are very lefty-heavy anyway so thats probably preferable to Kunz.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Yeah, but why's he calling out Franco on tweet tweet. It ain't even his story.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Lefties at AAA--Takahaski and Switzer, who have come and gone.
