Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Just got back from an assignment.I'd say whatever was wrong with Santana is fixed!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Pedro negotiates a leadoff hit.Hard to believe he's about to pass McGraw in appearances for this team. Quite an accomplishment, actually.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Denys (or Dennis, or Denis) Reyes's stomach is in to relieve. He may be 60' 6" from the plate but his gut is just 54' 7"
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Murphy (double-switched into the game for Evans) leads off the 8th with a single, and now Cora is trying to bunt.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) 3-1, man on first. Not a terrible time to hit-and-run, if you're so inclined.Or, you know, you could bunt. Again. Edited June 25, 2009 by Guest

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Cora flies to second center.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 LaRussa just called for the 87th throw over to 1st of the inning.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Cora has gone back to sucking, have you noticed?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Castillo walks, Murphy to second, Daaaaaavid Wright steps up to the plate.Pitching change.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 It's 3-2 on Wright (after starting out 0-2)

Water finds its level.Weird thing, though-- his numbers entering today are almost identical to his "aberrant" numbers last year. Both sets of stats are significantly bulked up from his career numbers (.716 OPS versus .663 OPS, with more of a bump coming in the on-base department).
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 ="Benjamin Grimm"]Pitching change.Well of course, there is.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Sheffield would make this lefty specialist shit right here.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 It would suck to not score at least one run this inning.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Ball one. (No pitching change... yet.)
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Ball three looked like it coulda been a strike.3-0 count.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Now two called strikes. 3 and 2.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Oooh....Church fouls off ball four.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 And swings and misses at ball five! (Maybe.)Two out.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Flerg. Nando the Elder, it's on you.Pitching change, I take it?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Two quick strikes on Tatis. We may need to take a one-run lead into the ninth.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Frankie's gotta make sure that missed opportunity doesn't come back to bite us.
