Why does Feliciano remain out there when we hav 16 righthanders in the pen?

Trust? Gut rumblins? A weird managing-physick phenomenon whereby being around LaRussa makes him, conversely, less LaRussa-y with the matchups? (My bet's on the belly.)

Either way, defensive replacement Daniel Murphy (!) makes the snag, and Pedro puts down lil' Joe Thurston. All good.

Just got back from an assignment.

I'd say whatever was wrong with Santana is fixed!

Pedro negotiates a leadoff hit.

Hard to believe he's about to pass McGraw in appearances for this team. Quite an accomplishment, actually.

And I"m surprised he double switched with the firstbasemen and not the cathcers. Probably the right move though.

3-1, man on first. Not a terrible time to hit-and-run, if you're so inclined.

Or, you know, you could bunt. Again.

Cora has gone back to sucking, have you noticed?

Yep. Water finds its level.

Weird thing, though-- his numbers entering today are almost identical to his "aberrant" numbers last year. Both sets of stats are significantly bulked up from his career numbers (.716 OPS versus .663 OPS, with more of a bump coming in the on-base department).

I hate When LaRussa does something that works out.
