Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 ="John Cougar Lunchbucket"]]What's the most lopsided shutout? 16-0. A loss to the Braves at Shea on July 2, 1999. Masato Yoshii started for the Mets and Greg Maddux went for Atlanta. I remember this one. Ambler at the old mofo described this as "Hiroshima."Fascinating list by the way and thanks. That one-run games are more common than 2-run games probably says something about how 2-run leads are treated. If memory serves me correctly, that was the pitching debut of Matt Franco.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I don't know how the hell I forgot 26-7. I was 7, and I remember crying in frustration after about an inning and a half. Thanks, BeeG.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I liked that game. They hadn't hit in two weeks, and the seven runs was a breakthrough.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 Okay, so now there have been five hundred and thirteen 3 to 2 games.
