16-0. A loss to the Braves at Shea on July 2, 1999. Masato Yoshii started for the Mets and Greg Maddux went for Atlanta.


I remember this one. Ambler at the old mofo described this as "Hiroshima."

Fascinating list by the way and thanks. That one-run games are more common than 2-run games probably says something about how 2-run leads are treated.


If memory serves me correctly, that was the pitching debut of Matt Franco.

I don't know how the hell I forgot 26-7. I was 7, and I remember crying in frustration after about an inning and a half.

I liked that game. They hadn't hit in two weeks, and the seven runs was a breakthrough.

IIRC, this one was also declared to be "all Bobby's fault" by several on that forum -- a conclusion I dubbed "stupidity cubed".
