Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I don;t know how to make it smaller

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 RJ was to have (is?) playing for the Edenton Steamers, on the Coastal Plain Collegiate league in North Carolina, where former Met Joe Smith omce played. Here's the Steamers' scoting report on RJHas blazing speed and noteworthy raw power . . . Projects as a complete player because his range and arm can impact the game from the outfield while his speed and power can be offensive assets. Willing to draw walks to get on base to set the table for teams offense.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 How'd I know this was happening, JCL?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 RJ has signed a contract with the Mets. No high-falutin' posturing for him.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Nice! How old is he? 20, 21?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 RJ turned 22 in February. He was a college senior (edit -- actually he's a junior... hmm) . Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Looking sharp, RJhttp://allengreene.zenfolio.com/p869377165/e25bbe021
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 RJ clubbed his first professional HR last week and although he's whiffing a little too much, is walking too: His OBP is .398.If he can reduce the whiffs vs. the lefties and continue to work righties for the free passes, sky's the limit for this kid, according to me.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Here's a photo of RJ (21) receiving congrats for his fourth home run of the season, last night.RJ is hitting 287/409/426 // 835 with a team-best 19 walks. If he can cut the whiffs slightly and stay in center field, he could be a contendah.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 JCL - Mets Inside Pitch online has an article about your boy today. Unfortunately, I don't have a subscription. If you do, this is a heads-up.If not, maybe someone else here does.Anyone?Later
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Thanks. I suppose if it were important enough they'd tell us all.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Promoted to Brooklyn!1-for-3 in his debut last nite. May have to step aside for Beltran's debut there tomorrow, however.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 RJ got his 2010 season started this weekend with the Cyclones, but it looks like he may have to sing for his supper as part of a DH/LF/RF pool with Cody Holliday, Will Cherry, Kurt Steinhauer and Cory Vaughn.Anyway, RJ was 1-3 with a double. The Clones took 2 of 3 with the MFYs.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 They solved that logjam in the Brooklyn outfield by promoting RJ to Savannah. He's batting .333 there after two games.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Poor RJ. 1 for his last 29 and 176/255/259 for the season at Savannah. That's how to get released.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 And released he is (as of March 24, evidently).Sorry, R.J. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
