I agree in concept that Parnell could have gone longer, but he was in the sixth, not the seventh. The seventh set up really well for Feliciano with two lefties, and he got through it 1-2-3.


I'm with you, Swanny... although roughly 1/3rd of my baseball brain is screaming, "Unless he's getting shelled, he should be getting a sore arm!"

Apart from the 8th inning bunt, and possibly using Stokes-- who may be the most efficient guy in that pen (check the pitches-per-inning stats)-- instead of worn-out Eighth Inning Guy, I've got no problem with Jerry's workings last night.
