ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 don't come callin, in times of trouble
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Parnell, Parnell don't make me wait ...youbullpen pitchers wont get any dates
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 sea: Can we cut it out with the creepy babies and Teletubbies? This is a fricking IGT. Why doesn't someone just post some Billy Joel lyrics so the Nationals can score eight runs this inning? And he's talking to Davey, who's still in the navy, and probably will be for life?Parnell walking a lot of guys, three, one scores.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 What's with Parnell not being able to throw strikes? Walking in runs sucks!
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Springsteen lyrics could really open the gates
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Feliciano summoned to hopefully clean up Parnell's mess.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Feliciano does his job and Manuel summons Putz in hopes of getting the third out.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) Nats leave the bases loaded! Edited May 25, 2009 by Guest

Finish it, chin pubes.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Wright's throw gets to first in time to end the inning.Whew!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 The Mets escape further damage. Time to get that run back and quit the Billy Joel lyrics.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Phew! Now, the Teletubbies proved they were in a New York State of Mind by crossing through Times Square, an omen of good luck, like the youtube lof the guys marching around the bases.Tinky Winky, of course, is a Piazza tribute. On edit, sorry Doc -- I posted that before seeing your request...
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 BTW: After 101 PA, Sheff now batting .277, slugging .500, and getting on-base at a .410 clip. Also, he's been surprisingly spry on the bases-- 1 SB, 3 first-to-thirds on singles-- and the team's second-most sure-handed left fielder. In retrospect, I'm okay with the signing. Anyone still object to this union?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Sheff's doing better than I expected he would. Proved me wrong.

Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 JJ Pubes coming back out in the 8th? Let's go Wright.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Hey, same here. It seemed low-risk, but I admit to being more than a bit confused. But we don't need recriminations; we need insurance.LET'S!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Good thing we gave them an out that inning.(sarcasm detector explodes)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Putz pisses me off. Every game he enters grinds down into the most boring contest you ever saw.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I've come to the conclusion that Jerry Manuel apparently believes that 27 outs are just too many so he likes to give 2 or 3 away each game whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) Not even close, fatass.(uh, fatass = Putz) Edited May 25, 2009 by Guest
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Are the walks an issue with the home plate umpire? Is he squeezing everyone? Or are these guys just wild as hell tonight?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) Ah... the traditional eighth-inning-opening walk from Putz. It's almost comforting, giving you a sense of time and place... like hearing "Pomp and Circumstance" before a graduation ceremony or Mendelssohn at a wedding.
