So what was Ashie's lineup? Or should I go into ignore mode?

Provisional, based on whether Beltran could play CF or had to DH. Completely accurate with the caveats he stated.

Two Sawx mistakes set up Beltran on second for Sheffield, and he can core a apple. 1-0 Mets

Don't know why but I'm shocked that there are so many Mets fans there , including our own bmfc1......

Why does Martinez continue to bat ahead of Castillo? Martinez is lucky to even be at the major league level, he definitely shouldn't be batting ahead of anyone.

It's the '9 hole hitter is a second leadoff hitter' scenario.

Youkilis drives in two, but a K of Bay and a sweet stab by Castillo on J. Dickhead Drew end the first, 2-1 Hose.

That was my best guess regarding Manuel's thinking. However, since I often find myself wondering what Manuel is thinking with some of his moves, I couldn't be sure that I was correct on this one.

And golly gee Castillo leads off the inning in his first at bat.

It's an exceedingly small sample size, but I sure like the way Jeremy Reed looks going after a ball in the gap from CF.

You see that soft drive by Beltran to Drew there?

Homerun in YSIII.

You see that topped grounder by Sheffield to Lowell there?

Homerun in YSIII.

You see that strikeout of Wright by Beckett there?

That's just a strikeout.

Rodriguez has seven hits at YSIII this season - six homers and a double. On the road he is hitting around .140 and slugging around .280. YSIII - slugging around 1.000.

And a hit. And a stolen base. What moron was calling for him to be replaced?

Oh right. Me. Never mind.

Didn't Sal Bando win it one year?

I don't know, but good guess.

How about Carney Lansford for a later edition of the A's?

Beckett, Shmeckett. They'll get that run back.

Nice play there. Yo la freakin' tengo.

Mazeroski comes to mind, but for some reason I'm thinking they gave it to a Yankee - Richardson, or was that 1962?

We probably collectively block out Brosius.

Good call, Kase.

Martinez showing no fear, hanging in to get the lead runner, then makes a nice stop that at least keeps Ellsbury on second.

C'mon Pelf - high cheese to Papi and they'll get you a couple in the sixth.

Nick Green almost made sure Mets fans couldnt complain about Martinez anymore with that slide...
