1) One of four players from the 1st round of the 1980 amatuer draft to become Mets (Strawberry, Billy Beane and John Gibbons were the other)

2) Wore No. 21, but otherwise not related to Cleon Jones.

3) Came over from the Dodgers in the Sid Fernandez heist.

4) His one and only hit as a Met was a walk-off double scoring Hubie Brooks off the Phillies' Al Holland.

5) That game was 25 years ago tomorrow.

6) Today works in movies & TV as a "Key Grip"

8) Is not one of the 284 Mets-related baseball card autographs that I own, but I do have an apparent mailing address for him, so he's higher on my to-do list than some players with much more impressive Mets careers.

After getting released by the Mets in 1986 he signed with Seattle , was traded to KC for Ricky Rojas in 1987.

His big moment came (if I'm not mistaken) on a Game of the Week, thus enabling his motion picture work as he had become a coast-to-coast star.
