Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Mets up 3-2 after seven. Santana only threw three and gave up both runs (homers to Ankiel and Duncan), but the pen has kept this game in Mets hands. Our hitting star is Omir Santos, and Marlon Anderson is... not bringing it.Elmer Dessens, with two scoreless innings, continues his scoreless spring.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Elmer.Great name. We named our boys Henry & Joe.Elmer & Oscar would've been so much better.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Anyhow it's a 5-2 win, and boy are we getting fat catcher power. Omir Santos hits two and Rene Rivera one.Six innings of lights out relief against Cardinalia. Gotta like that.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 The Mets are something like 5-1 or 6-1 since they got all of their WBC players back with the team.Later
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 6 wins in their last 7 games with the lone loss coming in Pelfrey's rain shortened outing. Opponents only scoring 2.86 runs per game on average over those 7 games even though opposing lineups have been theoretically getting better over that stretch.Looking pretty good as they prepare for real battles.OE: April's schedule is filled with teams we should beat up on IMO. I would love to see a fast start before we start dealing with Philly and Atlanta in May.
