Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 You can feel the movie tugging you, manipulating you... and yet, it works; Danny Boyle really gets his Spielberg on in this one.The thing almost buzzes right on the screen. Dug it immensely, almost despite myself.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Original, edgy and interesting. Imperfect, but very well done.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Yeah I dug it too.Lotta crazy energy to it.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Good. Not great. Predictable. The last half hour did nothing for me. All the stuff of him as a kid was terrific.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Very good. Couldn't believe it was only two hours-- seemed much longer.
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Just saw it. Pretty good stuff. The flashback scenes were fantastic the way they were tied into his interrogation. I can see why it won the Oscar.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Finally saw this on cable.... throughly enjoyed it...
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Watched it yesterday and liked it a lot. (I gave it three stars.) I agree that it started stronger than it finished, and that the flashbacks were the most compelling parts.Part of me, though, wishes it had been set in the U.S., so that we'd be able to see Regis Philbin in the back room torturing the contestants. You just know it happens that way!
