Tejada's representatives are scheduled to hold a press conference at Minute Maid Park Wednesday at 3 p.m. Eastern Time in Houston to address Tejada's status with the club, Astros assistant GM Ricky Bennett said. The charge against Tejada - a Dominican citizen with a work permit at the time of the 2005 interview - could affect his immigration status

He pled guilty to a misdemeanor, he could technically receive up to a year in jail but is expected (per the federal sentencing guidelines) to receive probation. the conviction could technically affect his immigration status but is not expected to according to his lawyer. (from ESPN)
