O'Day has a torn labrum, which can ruin a pitcher's career. He is nothing more than organizational depth at this point. Ignore him in all Fantasy leagues right now.

9:35 - The Mets pick up John Madden from San Diego�s AA roster. The 26-year old stands 6′4″ 230 lbs. He was 2-3 with a 3.88 ERA and 24 BB against 45 SO in 72 innings for the advanced-A Lake Elsinore Storm in the Cal League in �08.

According to Adam Rubin, O'Day, like Steve Register last year, would have to be kept on the major league roster all year for the Mets to keep him.

He didn't say whether or not that applies to Rocky Cherry. (Isn't that a Ben & Jerry's flavor?)
