nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 did anyone see it? does anyone have anything to say about it?
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Didn't like it at all. The evolution of the Daniel Craig Bond has me at a loss. Gone is the smooth, sophisticated, womanizing Bond and in is this cross between some Bourne-Jason Statham-Mission Impossible character. Maybe it's Paul Haggis doing the writing and not-so-much Craig as the actor.
RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Just saw in on DVD. Really awful. It's not so much that Bond is bad (there have been bad Bonds before) but the direction was horrible. One chase scene after another and it was impossible to keep track of who was chasing who, or if one shot was either the chaser or the chasee. And Bond is a real prick. He uses his best friend -- the only one who was willing to go out on a limb for him -- as a human shield. Is that how Bond says "thanks"?

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 i wasnt very awake when i wrote that, i meant to say connery not clooney
RealityChuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I suspect the original script had the friend dead, which would have made the action less heinous. But it looks like it was rewritten so he could have a death scene.
