My last post just made me Mike Jacobs. May Mike Jacobs play with the zest, elan and physical capabilities of me today.

Look at the second spot.

Ramon Martinez: three weeks ago, we never heard of him. Today, in an elimination game, he's batting sixth.

I'm kind of down with that lineup, though I'd swap Blastro and Heartinez.

Game will NOT start on time.

Raining lightly at the moment and right now they're looking at a 1:25 first pitch although that's obviously subject to change.

Make that 1:45

Jake is sitting vs. the lefty, with Helms at third and Cantu at first.

All that for one run.

Okay, Johan. Give me eight more shutout innings.

I'll take it. Better when everybody's involved. Murphy's grounder sneaks through and we're still out there.

We know the Fish aren't going to roll over. We have to outplay them.

AT their best.

And we can.

Santana's throwing pebbles. Can he start tomorrow, as well?

This might be as good as I've ever seen Santana pitch. Keep it up, Johan.

This is like Maine's season-on-the-brink game, redux. 5 Ks through the first turn of the order.
