More gagging and choking.

They have been hitting at least some peas that get caught. Lastings positioned on the warning track helped him get Beltrans ball. Harris the same on Wright's when there were two on.

Perez pitched well tonight. I do think Delgado is going back to some of his early season habits. Some poor at bats.

Other than the Wright and Beltran balls, not too many balls hit too hard.

Reyes seems to be struggling too. And we know that when he is clicking, so is the rest of the offense.

Well Wright at least didn't choke last year. Not that that doesn't preclude him from choking now. And Delgado was a big barrel of suck all of last year so I don't think he was choking then. I wanted to write off Jose's past two bad Septembers to being tired from playing every innning of every game. I don't remember what Beltran did last September.

to me, it seems like david wright was letting pitches go that were right down the middle, and then would start pressing with 2 strikes....

It seems like David Wright has done that his whole fucking career.

I would bet that every scouting report for every team has:

1. Wright will take a first-pitch fastball down the middle which is an automatic 0-1 count.

Not for nothing but Wright ripped the living shit out of the first pitch he saw tonight. I don't think its anything as simple as any one thing a guy does, or doesn't do. We just have the kind of O that usually puts together a few ugly innings a night and they're only now extending that streak.

All these terrible losses at some point has to start messing with their CAHNfidence as well. We've been fortunate to overcome as many as we have but there has to be a limit to how many you can absorb.

That doesn't make a lot of sense for someone who has a 139 career OPS+. And if it is true then it seems to be working anyway so who cares?
