Ralph was a stud of studs with a baseball bat.

I knew Rusty didn't like to fly and I've known of people who don't like bridges, but the 59th Street seems pretty low and "unscary" even for bridge-o-phobes.
Now the Triborough on the other hand ...

Last Braves victory in a 1-run road game: August 2007 at Shea.

Ron was saying that one night they were giving Rusty such a hard time as he was driving them back to the city that Rusty wanted to stop the car and kick them out on the bridge.

SNY trivia question that they just gave theanswer too.

What player started his career with 14 or more consecutive 20 home run seasons?

Rusty never explained it to Keith, but he wasn't a bridge-o-phobe so much as tunnel-o-phile.

Leave it to Keith, of course, to go for the only one of the crossings that's toll-free.

Welcome aboard, Luis Ayala.

I had to look it up once KC nailed it. Ralph Kiner led the NL in home runs from 1946-1952. He led the major leagues in home runs in each of those years, except in 1946 when his 26 home runs were surpassed by Hank Greenberg with 44 for the Tigers.

Babe Ruth lead the AL in home runs in 12 of the 14 seasons between 1918 and 1931. In 1922, Ken Williams of the St. Louis Browns had 39 to top Ruth's 35. In 1925, Yankee teammate Bob Meusel outslugged Ruth 33 to 25. Ruth was topped by Hack Wilson of the Cubs during his monstrous 1930 season of 56 home runs and 191 RBIs when all Ruth could produce was a comparatively meager 49 home runs and 153 RBIs.

Ruth led the majors in home runs 11 of 14 years, but never for more than 5 years consecutively. Ralph Kiner ruled as the NL home run leader for 7 consecutive years, the last 6 of which he led all of baseball.

Since my childhood idol, Willie Mays missed most of his second season with the Giants, I will guess Ken Griffey, Jr. as the player to start his career with 14 consecutive 20 home run seasons.

A freakin' tropical storm of boos just rained down on Heilman.

I'm focused on game, Heilman issues a walk.

Kiner is always welcome to an IGT. I wish we could get a Q & A with him.

Doc , Junior is not the answer , one more home run for Chipper and he will join this former Braves player as the only played to achieve this feat.

I hate some of these strike calls by base umps, but that one stunk.

Well, if it's a Brave then the answer must be Eddie Matthews.

Nothing like smelling a ninth inning rally in the eighth inning. I take it though.
