Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Wild-Ass Prediction: homer for Pelfrey today.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Ha^.I haven't gotten to see this Murphy guy play.Is that a good sample of his fielding? That ball should have been caught. Not that one tho, a double past Beltran makes it 0-1 Fishies.

Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 On Murphy:When was the last time the Mets brought someone up with this kind of mature plate approach? There's always a few guys like Milledge, Gomez, and Fartinez where you can throw out those fun buzzwords like "toolsy" and "projectable," but it feels like we never get to see a guy just pop in and know how to work a count, or be able to go with an outside pitch to the opposite field.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I don't need to see any more of Carlos Muniz this season.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 And it's too late to hope to be saved by rain (which is coming any minute now)
