Great! I loved it.

So much more than just a superhero movie.

there are a few old comic book nerds in this place and if you are one of them (Ben Grimm) go see this.

It's like a 10 issue story. Character development, mystery, bad guys, twists, turns, origins. Its got it all.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am not a Will Smith fan. He was excellent though.

i heard it was great from someone.
i also heard it was worse than "i am legend" which is hard to do.

i couldnt't bring myself to shell out the $$ for this knowing that i want to see batman soon.

give me a few more good reviews and i may just be persuaded

Much better than 'Legend'.

This is a well written story and you genuinely care about Hancock and what he's doing and what happens to him. Not easy to do in a superhero movie. I didn't even care about most of the action scenes, I wanted it to just get back to the story.

Jason Bateman is good but Smith is the show here. It's not a perfect movie but very enjoyable.

I just saw it. I liked it, but didn't love it.

Jason Bateman's "big heart" logo storyline is both heavy-handed and underdeveloped to the point of pointlessness.

The 3rd act revelation comes out of nowhere and really doesn't make a heckuva lot of sense. The shift in tone was less problematic than the totally underdeveloped setup for the superhero mythology the story tries to establish with a "too little, too late" speech by Theron. And Smith and Theron lack the chemistry necessary to make the ending pay off in any emotional way.

that being said, Smith and Bateman are both terrific and there is enough here to make the movie entertaining, if not entirely successful.

But it feels more like a missed opportunity than a movie begging for a sequel.

If people ranked this on a ten-choice, five-star continuum, like a continually beg, I'd've gone 2.5. What they want thematically --- a superhero parallel to the self-absorbed NBA star unable or unwilling to accept his responsiblity as a hero --- is enticing and works fine. The plot turn does not. It's foreshadowed early and amounts to little but confusion, changing the tone of the film. Leaves unanswered questions, too.
