TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Delgado definitely needs the help of a gold glove at first.Let's rock the Rox!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Delgado can still hit game tying HRs, though.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 It's raining Mets runs...where is everyone?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 What a great inning! The bench seems much more enthusiastic the last few days.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Nixon with an absolute bomb....WOW
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Trot Nixon - first Metly HR!The Rox announcers were so confident about Aaron Cook because of his previous stats against the Mets.Cook doesn't have it tonight.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I am here and enjoying the Mets' offensive outburst. Thin air is the shit.I wish I had something to mix with my alkeyhol besides orange soda, though.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 That's why we HAVE an Endy Chavez! Nice catch!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Wow. Trot Nixon with a slick catch to save two ribbies with two outs. Nice D by the outfield tonight.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Nixon's the One! NICE catch to end the inning and save a couple of runs!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Nixon with a nifty run-saving catch himself.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Lots of pretty good D on both sides tonight.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I'm fading fast here... stupid time zones.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I like how Maine stayed on the mound to wish Joe Smith luck as he came on in relief.I like even better how the next batter flied out to end the inning.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 OK, now for those tack-on runs that are soon to be the signature of the Manumets.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 That may be the first time I've seen a 9-5 fielder's choice.Schneider is slow.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Best game in a while. Lots of hits, lots of runs, great pitching, great defense. Everybody contributed and the Rockies were dominated from the 2nd inning on.The one and only minor gaffe was Schneider's slow/dumb baserunning.4.5 back. Closest we've been in a couple weeks.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Put it in the books - 7-2 good guys!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 It's a completely new team out there. We were down 2-zip in this one after 2 Rockie batters.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 It makes no logical sense. But i almost prefer to see the other guys get the early lead. This goes back to the pre-Manuel days.
