I thought the manager was going to be gone there for sure , the current manager was his only hire there I think , didn't Hargrove just quit?

Hargrove quit last year and McLaren took over.

You'll be finding all about the Mariners next week in my upcoming KTE but as a quick preview: Bavasi has been the GM since '04. He replaced Pat Gillick, who was the GM during the high times of the late '90s and early '00s for the Mariners.

During Bavasi's tenure, the Mariners have had only 1 winning season (last year, 88-74). He's the genius responsible for Jose Vidro, Richie Sexson and Adrian Beltre's contracts.

Bavasi seems a lot less appealing to me than that Cincinnati guy whose name I seem determined not to remember.
