Game 6 belongs, but in terms of meaningfull games, well for starters I'd take Game 5 of the 1986 NLCS over Game 3. And as great as the Grand Slam Single was, is it really an "essential" game for them to put in it's entirety rather than a bonus feature, or part of a highlights montage?

Not going to quibble too much, but this deserves it's own DVD, ala the night 42 was retired in perpetuity in 1997, kind of "outside" the scope of the Mets.

THATS the best regular season game (aside from 9/21/2001) that they could come up with? How about Seaver's return in 83? Straw's debut? Gooden's masterpiece against Chicago in September of 1984? Carter's debut? The 1986 clincher? Game 162 in 1999?

No Ball off the Wall? No Henderson Walk-Off? No Cone striking out 19? No Seaver Imperfection? Piazza's debut at Shea? Pedro's debut at Shea?

This kind of proves my rant about how the Mets treat their fans and the history of the franchise. 2006 gets the most amount of love in terms of regular season moments? Pratt's game winner (aside from the GSS game on the main DVDs) is the only 1999 moment? And Matt Franco's game winner off of Rivera, along with Carter's walkoff in his debut are the ONLY regular season, non clinching highlights pre 2006?

How about a nice Shea Stadium documentary as well that covers all non-baseball stuff as well (Jets, Beatles, WWWF, etc).

Something so simple as a Farewell to Shea celebration, and the Mets marketing staff STILL manages to muck everything up.

Somehow I get the feeling that the last regular season celebration will only feature Kranepool, Seaver, Staub, Hernandez and the 2008 Mets rather than something the Orioles, Braves, Cardinals, Reds, Phillies did that encompassed all eras of their doomed ballpark's history, giving fans a real treat.

Instead the Mets will trot out local members of the championship squads (that aren't pissed off at management) and that will be it.
