bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Mets won yesterday and I started the IGT so let's go for 2 in a row.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 I'm watching in beautiful HD on MASN but I am not delaying the TV so I can listen to WFAN on the internet as I usually do. Let's see how long this lasts.Dopey Bob Carpenter and No-Nothing Don Sutton call the game for MASN. Carpenter just pondered if Figueroa realizes that he's pitching from the stretch even though nobody is on base. "What? I'm in the stretch? Are you kidding? Thanks for pointing it out Bob!"

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Figueroa pitching for his spot on the roster right now, figuring he'll be sent down when Wise is activated.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 Don Sutton says that the Mets were given "a gift" in the bottom of the first. What was gifted to the Mets? The walk, OK, but then a steal and a single.

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Easley hits one to dead center against the wind. He's got some power.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Damion Easley pulling out the man muscles. Wow.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 A-Rod is out for another week so he'll miss the Mets this weekend. Tough break for the MFYs.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Ah, the old 5-6-3 putout with two outs. The 1-0-0 line looks weird.

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Nick Johnson looks like a slowpitch player.

Nah, that usually is reserved for the A-Rod bashers on WFAN and 1050 radio more so than columnists. Actually that's not just the ARod bashers though, thats just about every caller who suggests keeping a Jason Phillips, Joe McEwing, Angel Pagan, etc in the lineup over the "over paid, lazy loaf" that they replaced due to injury.

Guest KC Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Who's the dick in the Washington dugout?I don't ever recall seeing such behavior in a major league game.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 Isn't it Elijah Dukes? I think he's yelling "we want a pitcher, not a belly itcher."
Guest KC Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 That whole bench clapping thing was bizzaro - like something from a movie comedy or something.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I'm with Mr. Dukes.Nelson's been belly itching for three straight starts now.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Separate issues. I hope that clapping in the dugout doesn't catch on.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Yeah. Rotten performance by Figgy anyhow.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 This guy is supposed to pitched at Yankee Stadium this weekend? He can't get this pathetic team out? The fairy tail is over.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I think Figgy's days are numbered. It was nice story but we're losing to the Gnats, the Marlins are hot ... can't be dickin' around much longer.
Guest Grote15 Guests Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I hear booing...What was that relay by Reyes. Figgy we hardly new yaCan't keep losing to these "inferior" teams like last season. The Marlins are whipping everyone at the moment...T.B is crushing the MFY'sOff the subject but Billy Beane would probably take Fernando Martinez for Joe Blanton & Huston Street.. Might help us big time in the now.
