I just watched the 14th inning on TiVo delay. (I went to bed last night after the 13th.)

I was awfully surprised that David Wright saw three pitches before they decided to intentionally walk him. Seemed like an obvious move to me.

Also, did anyone catch Gary Cohen's indirect plug of Mets By the Numbers at the beginning of last night's game?

They showed a couple of kids with Mets uniform numbers painted on their cheeks. (5 7 15 57, or something like that) and Gary said, simply, "Mets by the numbers."

And that was that.

They were actually telling people to stop watching the game and go see me speak last night... Did a talk with MetsGrrl and another writer at my local bookstore, attended by, among others, the CPF's own Gwreck. So I missed the 1st to 7th innings, but afterward we repaired to the local watering hole where we wound up getting plenty of baseball anyway.
