D-Dad scored two tickets for Opening Day. Now we just need a single so we can bring the little guy along. If anyone winds up with an extra ticket or knows someone with a single they want to unload, plmk. Thanks.

ON EDIT - Never mind - it's taken care of.

I was looking for a place to post this yesterday and this is as good as any.
Lady Luck shined on me yesterday morning and I'm sitting in the bleachers
on Opening Day. For a $150 ya meet at a restaurant in the morning for break-
fast and cocktails, then take the booze bus to Shea, eat and drink again in the
Pepsi Picnic area, watch the game out there, take the booze bus back to the res-
taurant, and then get fed dinner.

I'm happy as a clam, but I may not be able to give much of a game account by
the time the day is over.

KC, you lucky stiff. That sounds like a perfect way to christen the start of a Shea's final season.

I'd flip those things on E-Bay so fast, you wouldn't believe.

surely you could sell them and buy Mets opener tickets with the proceeds?

Yes! I'd rather get myself a few hundred dollars than have to endure a "historic" day at Yankee Stadium.

My son's best friend's dad took the son to the Yankee non-opener yesterday.

I get home and my son says "Dad, The Yankkes got rained out and Noah's dad can't take him tomorrow night, they have two extra tickets, can YOU take me, Noah and (their other friend) Jimmy to the Yankee game tomorrow night?"

I'm thinking - shit. I have no desire to go to Yankee Stadium ever, much less a rainy, cold, crowded opening night, but here's my son who seems excited to go to the ballgame with his best friends and I'm perfectly capable of bringing them.

I stammer 'Ummm, uh, well I guess I could, maybe...."

My wife, knowing me as well as she does, sees my internal conflict, and says to me "Noah's mom hasn't called me about this, its something the boys conjured up, its not gonna happen, don't let your head explode."

Aaaaah, sweet relief.
