Guest AG/DC Guests Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Mets take a 3-2 lead in the top of the ninth. They're so banged up that they've made only two non-pitcher substitutes, sending Ruben Tejada in for Jose Reyes, and Ezequiel Carrera (your #28 prospect) in for Wright. Tejada is 2-2 and is hitting .750.Two scoreless by Sosa. Maine started and gave up a run in three innings, striking out three and walking none.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 2 more hits for Pagan today. He's been a hot bat so far.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Mets (and Stokes) walk off with the win. Some small degree of vindication for Omar, as well, when you see the losing pitcher's line.PitcherIPHRERBBSOHRERALindstrom (L, 1-1)1.05430109.00
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Fernando Martinez went 0-5, but he pegged a guy at the plate.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I thought there was a "no pegging" rule. But maybe that's just wiffle ball.
