Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 I've been listening in through a link here:http://www.mgoblue.com/multimedia/page.aspx?id=1344University of Michigan 4, Mets 2, top of the 9thMets scored all their runs on a 1st inning HR by Wright.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 That does it!They should dump all of their high-salaried players and try to regroup for 2009.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Randolph is to blame......
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Mets down to their last out, but with the tying run at the plate: Michael Abreu.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Abreu doubles in a run... or was it a HR? Yellow-line discussion going on now...HOME RUN!!!!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 And so it ends in a 4-4 tie.Your 2008 Mets: Undefeated!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Right, it's Spring Training, we have ties.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Interesting dynamic around here regarding University of Michigan. UM is thought of like the Yankees -- high-spending and arrogant. Michigan State is thought of as more of a "typical Joe" kind of place. East Lansing is not as nice an Ann Arbor, that 's for sure. The big UM-MSU football game is a big deal. I'm neutral, but the UM program does in fact tend to be very arrogant and there is much weepage when it loses to State, so that's always fun to watch. That said, if I could get either of my kids into UM, I'd do it in a heartbeat.Went to see a UM baseball game once. Nice field, named afte Bill Freehan. The back-up catcher's job is to go into the parking lot during the game to retrieve foul balls.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Yeah well we knocked the arrogance right out of those Wolverines today, boy! They thought they had us, man, but, like NO WAY!Bring on Illinois State! Give us all you got, Northwest Alabama!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Willie arguing a yellow-line home run in a meaningless exhibition game against college kids is a decent sign, IMO.
