Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 When a small-town waitress gets pregnant, hijinx ensue.IMO, way better reviewed than received. Genuinely cute, but the most obvious thing ever, as opposed to Juno, which wasn't obvious but tried too hard at times to be cute.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 I posted my last message in the other thread without even seeing this. What gives?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 I'm just watching what comes around.Waitress was part of last weekend's disastrous double feature rental, with The Simpsons Movie. I'm just getting caught up.Juno represented a chance to go to the movies for the first time in ages. I thought might be good, and it was. I dunno what's up with all the knocking up going on.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 I saw Waitress over the summer. It's cute, and sweet, and has decent spurts of emotional truth. It's not an overall great film, but I liked it. Definitely a chick flick/date night film.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Watched Waitress last night. It has a lot of charm despite being very cliched and uneven. Andy Griffith is hilarious. Keri Russell is hawt.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 One of the best nights I've had recently involved not finishing this movie.
