smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3088062This story upset me, as I've always considered Cameron to be a stand-up guy. The "bad supplement" excuse is wearing really thin, though. And with all the other CF's on the market, what does this do to his value?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 He's trying to emphasize that it's not steroids.I'm betting it was ephedra.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 I'm not disappointed anymore and not surprised by even squeaky clean nice guys getting caught taking stuff they shouldn't be taking.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 what's surprising to me, is that nobody's making a big deal out of the fact that this is apparently Cameron's SECOND positive test. If you didn't get the message that YOU NEED TO BE VERY CAREFUL with what you take by the first one. Bummer for him though, he's become a tough sell. A 34 year old free agent centre fielder who's banner for the first 15% of the season - and has failed two drugs tests. Unless he's got the same agent as Guillermo Mota he's have trouble getting a decent deal
