Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 It seems as if the Phillies have become the new Braves. The one divisional foe that we just can't seem to beat.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 *bangs head on desk repeatedly*Willie... a word of advice. When a relief pitcher WALKS Pete LaForest, you take him the fuck OUT!!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Schoeneweis's first appearance in a coons age.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Hey...I see now...I know what the Mets are doing. They would rather see the Phillies in the playoffs than the Padres.Hey,...I like this strategy.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 Bring in Ramon Castro!
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 We need Blastings Killedge to do something here.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 And Blastings does nothing.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 Hey, Z, aren't there a few top-50-ish avatars that are missing? Like Reyes, Trachsel, Glavine perhaps? I know some are missing, but I'm not sure which ones.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Just getting here. Our bullpen is becoming a disaster.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Phils have beaten the Mets for the 7th time in a row. That was their 45th comeback win, and that currently leads the league in that department.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Author Posted September 15, 2007 Goddammit!!!Why can't we protect a freaking lead once in a while?

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Fortunately Alou kept his hitting streak going.Unfortunately he only had one hit, and it was an infield single.Fortunately we held that damn Utley at bay.Unfortunately Rowand stepped up and had a great game.Fortunately we stole 6 bases.Unfortunately we were thrown out 3 times, one crucial, in my book.Fortunately we got to test Feliciano for 2 innings.Unfortunately he FAILED that test, and we have no pitcher to fill that type of gap, so it seems. (He did have a fantastic one inning though, striking out the side, the heart of the Phillies order. I don't consider that fortunate. That was just damn good pitching.)Fortunately Schoeneweis looked real good in 0.2 innings.Unfortunately, we need pitchers that can go longer when needed, and he's still Schoeneweis.Fortunately I'm having fish for dinner.Unfortunately I don't have enough to feed you all.
