Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I can deal with your inability to beat the Phillies. So what. You're still in first place with 30 games left. Chances are you're going to take the division, or at least the wild card, and both you and the Phillies are probably going to the postseason. I'll take our chances in a NLCS matchup. Win or lose, we know it will be excitingBut here's what I want you to do for me. Beat the living snot out of the Braves this weekend. Clobber the Atlantans with an offensive barrage not seen since D-Day. And when they come to bat I want to see major whiffage, or a least weak grounders and pop-ups. Eliminate their hopes and dreams and chances of staying in this race. Two's company in a pennant race, three's a crowd. Get rid of the ugly little sister tagging along to the dance. Can you do that for me?
Guest attgig Guests Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 not winning the division is dangerous. it's not a shoe in that the wild card is coming from the east. check out that nl west.and i won't mind not being able to beat the snot out of the braves, but how about squeaking in 2 wins over the weekend?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2007 Author Posted August 31, 2007 I just want the Braves out the picture, sooner the better.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2007 Author Posted September 2, 2007 Oh yeah, sorry for that. You know I didn't mean it. I brought you some flowers.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I apologize to the team for having doubted them. They kicked Atlanta's ass and they sure showed me.
