Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I offically declare this a Big Game. I, in fact, gaze in slack-jawed awe at its bigness.Go get 'em, Sandy Jr.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Wrizzle has the highest OBP in the majors since July 28. .528. I had no clue.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Once Wright stole second you practically gotta walk Carlos intentionally for Carlos.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Three hooks, a fastball, another couple hooks, and on the last one (and the third) Beltran beautifully ripped it to right. He was timing the curve the entire time. Germano shoulda listened to me. The Mets are gonna steal bases today.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 All series we're giving up way too many runs to a team that hits like poop.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 These older ballplayers gotta shave the gray stubble.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Three replays and Alou not trying to break it up at second looks worse every time. He gets a complete pass from Keith and Gary.Green was out by half a step.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Who called a hit-and-run with Cammie up?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Sandy Alomar throwing to first after a strikeout.I know a few catchers do, but I can't recall a Met catcher ever who did.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 What a fantastic block! And what a fantastic call by Derryl Cousins!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Gameday sez "Injury Delay." Can anyone help with some enlightenment while I hold for Time Warner cable customer service?
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Bud Black was arguing a call that should have gone his team's way...no injury.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Nope, that gets listed as "on-field delay" and came up too.Sez there was 1 ball and 2 strikes on Glavine when it happened.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Good pick-up by Ronnie that Bard seems to be tipping pitches.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Leadoff walks to the opposition suck.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Thanks TM! (Freakin' cable went out).
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 If it gets any uglier, you may be glad your cable went out. From what Gameday is showing, Glavine seems to have no command of his pitches tonight. He's throwing more balls than strikes and if Gameday is to be believed, a significant number of those balls aren't even remotely close to the strike zone.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 FU, Marcus Giles. And Glavine oughta be ashamed.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Eh, only the 5th inning. We could still force our way back into this thing.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Shhhh... Bases loaded, nobody out.Delgado up.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Bases loaded for Delgado.......FUCK...no outs ...FUCK

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I have no confidence in Delgado...none...zilch.I have never seen such a good hitter look so lost at the plate for so long.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Hmm. At least it wasn't a double play.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Green at the plate now as the tying run.
Guest Mendoza Line Guests Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 And Alou catches a break from the umpI'm luckyI'm luckyI can walk under laddersYes I'm so luckyThat I'm as luckyAs me
