Jorge Velandia, who hasn't seen major league action since 2003 when he was with the Mets, was purchased from the minors yesterday by Tampa Bay.

I think "ex-Mets" were defined as players who were part of the Mets organization at any point in their careers - not necessarily with the major league club.

I don't know if Vance Wilson played for the Tigers this year at all . I know he's hurt.
