Any reason Beltran didnt run out that DP ball? I think he would have been safe..

Fingers crossed and knock on wood, but Pelfrey looked dynamite in the first.

He did run. Not a chance he could've been safe.

Nice punchout of Howard on a high two-seamer.

Ninety-seven. Nice.

Burrell walks.
A 2 out walk-gah.

Scores on the Dobbs double.

Walks kill man, walks kill.

Well, let's kill 'em back. Reyes walks on four pitches.

Oops, forgot to kill.

2 base error by Wright on a grounder by Kendrick><

And Rollins goes yard.

Errors kill man, errors kill.

Because he's pitching.

Enemy rally. Time to root.

Good job by Victorino, stealing the first pitch after Lo Duca takes a foul back with his body.

In fact, we might have anticipated that better.

And a healthy Valentin may well have turned that DP. Fine job by Reyes.

Dobbs just saved Pelfrey's skin, swinging 2-0 at ball three and lining out to center.

These Philly announcers love Reyes and his ability and make no bones about it.

And yea, that play in the hole and laser thow to second...wow.
If all I have as a Met fan over the next 5 years is watching him play, that would be enough.

3-1 Phils after 3.

and------
wooohooo

Delgado's doing some damage for a guy in decline.

Pelfrey not only gets back on track with a 1-2-3 inning, but he gets his first big-league hit to lead off the next inning.

Awww COMEON!

Reyes hits into a DP.

(only the 3rd time he has done that this season : / )

Hating the DP right now.

How 'bout Gomez?

Kind of an ill-considered attempt, though, huh?

If you dont give it a try, you dont make the catch.
I like that he did.
Ill never fault a guy for going for it.
Sure, if it gets by him Victorino scores, but it didnt get by him.

Pelfrey's got a wad in his mouth and it's making me sick.

Somebody in the Phillie booth described the arms in the Met outfield, saying, "Green, not as strong an arm as he used to have, but still pretty good."

I hope the team is working with the same scouting report.

OK, Wright gets a lick in.

Do it again, Carlos.
