Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Who was the ex-player/announcer for Pittsburgh (was it Jim Rooker?) who said, during a game where the Pirates had a huge lead in Philly, that if they were to blow this game he'd walk back to Pittsburgh.Well, they did. And, while he didn't walk back that night, he did later organize a walk-a-thon connected to a charity and eventually made the cross-Pennsylvania trek on foot.
