Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Only a smart play if you make it. Incredibly stupid otherwise.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Franco caught stealing ...3 outs to go up by two. Let's hope those early game LOB's don't comeback to bite us in the boo boo.Hate to break it out, but ...LET'S

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 But he didn't get to scoring position with 2 out.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 But w/2 already out and a guy up who hasn't gotten a ball past the pitcher's mound all game (despite two hits) he's unlikely to score playing it conservative. I didn't have a problem with the try and it took a perfect throw to get him.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Actually I was kinda excited to see Gomez having an at-bat with the count in his favor for once, and was disappointed to see it end.I was daydreaming about how cool it would be if he could somehow his game together up here. You know? He's getting tested plenty and maybe he starts learning something.

I'm least funny when I try to be.Anyways, nice to see Perez outlast Asshead ... would have liked to see a couple of more runs scored, and freakin' Delgado not look like such a schlubat the dish, but we only have to wait half-a-day to get win number two.

I thought he was safe anyway
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 It wasn't until the 3rd fight in the upper deck -- by the 2nd inning -- that I realized that I'd always go to the Sunday night game, or occasionally the Saturday afternoon game -- but had never been Friday night at Yankee Stadium. My favorite fan was not the drunk guys with bad heckles, or the guys trying to provoke fights (saw a Mets jersey that said YanksBlow and had number 69) but rather the woman right in front of me (wearning a pink Jeter jersey) who started having a temper tantrum every at bat -- "do something! you have to do something!"Several Mets were very upset with the home plate ump. Beltran. Delgado. Franco got within a hair of being run at one point between innings.

I said that I misinterpreted Willie's answer. If that wrecks my credibility, then I guess I didn't have any credibility to begin with, which is what I get from your retort. So be it.
