Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 The radio call announces the speed of the first pitch (some sponsor tie-in) which, I assume, they get from the stadium display. So the radio says it's 87 MPH while the TV 'info strip' is showing 92That's one of several reasons I don't pay a lot of attention to those things.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Mets need Red Bull.Or Howling Monkey.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Comforting to see an inning like this.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Look at that, I've got company. Excuse the mess in here, please.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I have a friend that looks like that monkey. Really.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 At the very least, it implies that he's handsomely dressed.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Wagner's not BSing around this year.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Damn some dude ate Miguel Cabrera and stole his uniform.Wagner giving up a run in a 6-1 game doesn't bother me.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Miguel Cabrera is not BSing around this at-bat. Wow that was hit hard.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 This was maybe the sloppiest low-scoring (until the last half-inning anyway) game I've ever seen.- Wright not running out a ball- Delgado not running out a hit- LoDuca (and Delgado) running into outs- Beltran lazily getting to a hit and then missing the cut-off man- maybe another missed sign? (LoDuca & Gomez on a possible H&R)- Gomez not taking out the catcher in a situation that absolutely called for itAnd then the Marlins were at least as sloppy, plus most of thiers came all at once: bad defense, bad managerial decisions, bad throws, bad relievers.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Way to burn Wagner out for the rest of the weekend, but a win is a win.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 A tale of two games: The first seven innings, and then the final two.
