Bury my heart at swollen knee

Frayed Knot

From MetsBlog:

Talking with reporters after last night’s win, Willie Randolph told the media Alou is fine, saying, “His knee was stiff, and hopefully he’ll get some ice tonight and be ready for tomorrow.”

Following the game, Alou told reporters that a recent MRI revealed a slight tear of the meniscus, which he will treat with ice and medication, or, at worst, a cortisone shot.

I am in the wounded knee club as well. I crushed my knee in a car door many years ago. It wasn't treated properly in the ER so it never fully healed. Since the accident, I have fallen and landed on it twice. There is hardly any cartilage left in the knee I was told the last time I injured it that I had to have surgery but I opted out since I've heard of too many knee surgery nightmares.

This week I went for physical therapy on my back. I told the therapist I had a bad knee..but she ignored me. She kept making me bend the bad knee. Hours later it popped out and I could hear the cartilage crunching around. I'm hobbling around hoping I can once again avoid surgery. Maybe Alou can give me some of this magic ice he's using.

OldMole, I don't know how they can manage to walk! Did surgery help you at all?f
