Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 We need to cash in on it like the Nats did earlier.
Batty31 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 YES! YES! Thank you Julio!!!!!!!!!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 P.S. Replays showed the Easley was definetly out at 1st.Guess we got the make-up call.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Hey Jose, throws some damn strikes.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Yup.We don't deserve this one much but it ain't about deservin'.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Thank you. See, good things happen when you actually throw a few strikes.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Belliard's fly out looked pretty damn deep on gameday. Was it scary or was there never a doubt that it would be caught?
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Beltran had to run back a little, but once he got under it, it was pretty routine.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Thanks Transmonk. The little red dot on Gameday was right on top of the wall.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Heilman got away with a few long drives to fence before the RS-double.Whattaya got for Aaron Sele, stopper.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 We've def had the benefit of several loud & deep outs tonight almost as much as we haven't been getting the ones at 1st -- although Gary has gone a bit overboard as far as how bad those first two calls were. They were safe but just barely. The next two were the worst ones; Lopez was clearly out and he eventually scored to go-ahead run, but Easley was out too.Odd game tonight in a lot of ways.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Extra inning games on the road are tough. You know if you don't score in your half you then have to: hold them, then score yourself, then hold them again. It's very draining mentally to play that way especially when you know that any pitch to them can be the game winner.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 8-9-1 due up: Easley, Pitcher, ReyesNot used tonight:Bench: CastroPen: Wagner & Burgos
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Especially when you're aware you've screwed the pooch as furiously as the Mets did in the 8th tonight. Has there been a worse inning all year?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Wow! This is the one spot I WOULD like the bunt.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 That's what I said in the wrong thread.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Yahtzee! Easy with a lead off double in the 12th.Castro in to pinch hit?

Washington pitchers got one legit out that inning; we gave them an intentional out and ran into another.* I'm Claude Lockwood!
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Now bring in Perez to run for Castro
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Let's just do everything backwards tonight.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 OK. Bunting wasn't necessarily for losers there.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I predict LoDuca hits into a triple play.
