The leash had to have gotten tighter on Pelfrey. I basically agree with Rockin' Doc at this point. I'm still hoping to see him work through his troubles, but if he can't keep the Mets at least close while he's on the mound, at some point you go to plan B.

Right now Sosa would be the best option. Humber has done very well his last two starts, but based on his spring I'm inclined to give him a full year in AAA unless there's an emergency.

My point being that Omar takes up to 600% or 900% more words to express the simplest thought he has. If he hits his thumb with a hammer he isn't going to say "Ow!" like you or me. He's going to say something like "That really hurts, as far as I can tell, just by feeling the sensation I just felt, you know what I mean? That really counts as a negative experience, but I'll consult with members of my staff just to make sure that I felt what I felt."

I'm going to hope that ERA speaks louder than the salary. The difference between his salary and Park's relatively meaningless if Park is the one that's 3-0 and 1.38.
