Nice to see Willie coach Reyes on the bench (along with the other coach,
Julio Franco - yes I'm ripping off Gary) and stay on him about stuff.

Jose seems receptive, which is nice too.

There's a segment on the Mets Weekly show (not sure what it's called, it
might actually be Mets Weekly) that has Randolph behind the cage mic'd
and some interaction with players and stuff. Does he blow an X or an O from
time to time when put under a scope? Sure. But anyone who thinks that this
ain't his team, he lacks managerial skills, is ill-tempered, or will fail as a big
league manager is sorely mistaken imho.

A run cannot score on the third out if it's a forceout. The run can score on the third out if it's a tag out, provided the run crosses the plate before the tag is made. But no matter when a run crosses a plate relative to a force out, it doesn't count if it's the third out.

This game ranks highly on the dumbth scale so far: bad swings, bad situational play, bad pitches, bad decisions, bad umpiring.

Exactly the kind of game that you can grab with a good last couple of innings and wind up feeling like you stole something and got away with it.
