Guest GYC Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 El Duque had a nice 1-2-3 inning to start the game on 10 pitches.Reyes flies/lines out to deep center on the first pitch.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Is it me, or does Beltran look like he has his head up his ass in centerearly on this season.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Anyone ever see a guy wearing designer mirror shades under his catcher's mask before?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Kid Carsey wrote:Is it me, or does Beltran look like he has his head up his ass in centerearly on this season.I don't know about that, but I don't like seeing him strike out with nobody out and a runner on third.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 And Delgado follows that by grounding to the pitcher.Ugh.Unless Wright gets a hit, a leadoff triple by Endy may be wasted.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Chavez on 3rd with nobody out and the Mets can't bring him in.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Nice to see Willie coach Reyes on the bench (along with the other coach,Julio Franco - yes I'm ripping off Gary) and stay on him about stuff.Jose seems receptive, which is nice too. There's a segment on the Mets Weekly show (not sure what it's called, itmight actually be Mets Weekly) that has Randolph behind the cage mic'dand some interaction with players and stuff. Does he blow an X or an O fromtime to time when put under a scope? Sure. But anyone who thinks that thisain't his team, he lacks managerial skills, is ill-tempered, or will fail as a bigleague manager is sorely mistaken imho.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 A run cannot score on the third out if it's a forceout. The run can score on the third out if it's a tag out, provided the run crosses the plate before the tag is made. But no matter when a run crosses a plate relative to a force out, it doesn't count if it's the third out.Try explaining that to your foreign date at her first baseball game. Then explain it to David Wright.

Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 There's no reason not to respond, we're of vastly differing opinions onWillie. I'm likely a small percentage of this venue that feels the way Ido, but I like him. A lot.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 6-1 Nats as balls are flying out all over.Hernandez plunks next batter, and gets run by big bad blue ....
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Lopez retaliates for the Nats by beaning a fan in the face.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 This game ranks highly on the dumbth scale so far: bad swings, bad situational play, bad pitches, bad decisions, bad umpiring.Exactly the kind of game that you can grab with a good last couple of innings and wind up feeling like you stole something and got away with it.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Eighth inning rally against the over-used Micah Bowie. Dos Carloses puertoriquenos on base, no out.Wright me.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Damn. Hits it to the top of the wall, where it's caught.I mean, day-umn.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Dew. Game ends. Eleven hits but only two runs.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Fugly gets a new entry in the Fug and Fugsters. Not likely there will be a game tomorrow, would be nice to unfug asap.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Pretty scuzzy performance from what I saw and heard (thankfully, very little).
