Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Reyes takes one deep down the right field line.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Poor keith sounds exasperated with the Reyes dance routine.Beltran....
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 This is really starting to be fun as Beltran double dips with another home run to right.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Beltran with his 2nd HR of the game! The Mets are showing the world champions who is goig to be the class of the NL this year!
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Mets looking nice again tonight, and I'm happy to see the power from Beltran.I was grumbling to myself about Reyes flying out in his first few at bats, but it's hard to complain after his homer. Still, I wonder if he's been gunning for a dinger all game. It's like he was out to get Looper. Not that I can blame him. I loved Loop his first year, but that second year was painful. I don't personally value pitchers trying through pain on it's own--they have to be effective at the same time, and he wasn't. Of course, he shouldn't have remained our closer while he was struggling, and that's not Loop's fault, but still . . .Maine's sharp tonight, and it looked like he had an intelligent game plan--mostly fastballs to start, then working in the slider and that new change of his, which has looked a'ight so far.Keep it up, boys!
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 At least Preston didn't get hit in the head.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Maine done after 7 scoreless. I guess they want Burgos to get two innings.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Oomph.Well, uh.At least it didn't hit him in the head.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 haha, its turning into a laugher!and just as i'm typing reyes drives in two more.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Seeing as Burgos was coming in, that was a relief.God the Cardinals suck. 9-zip!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 That's a brutal outfield they have, few things are sweeter than seeing LaRussa pissed in the dugout.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Damn, the Cardinals are just imploding. Their outfield defense in this series has been embarrassing.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Burgos just embarrassed Molina, and I have no sympathy for him.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I love watching a pitcher with a nasty curveball,and Sele's is nasty.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 (edited) Milledge, Franco, Burgos & now Sele poke their heads up for the first time tonight.Me thinks that leaves Castro as the only player not to appear so far.One of the Newsday writers used to track every year the last player who was on a ML roster from the very beginning to get in a game. He'd make a note of it whenever the last guy got off the bench. Edited April 4, 2007 by Guest
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Sele gets Pujols looking with a 3-2 curve ball. Pujols glares at him for having thrown a curve in a blow out. I guess he expects people to just put it on a tee for him.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Great to see the auld fella early doors.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I'm just sitting down. How'd things go tonight?
